CorrectDeck CX Frequently Asked Questions
What is CorrectDeck CX made of?
CorrectDeck CX is crafted from recovered hardwood fibre and rugged, UV-stabilized polypropylene. CorrectDeck CX combines a unique polypropylene-based formula with a highly advanced manufacturing process to yield a superior material. CorrectDeck CX was the first composite decking manufacturer to use polypropylene instead of polyethylene. Polypropylene makes it stronger, stiffer, and lighter than other composites, so it can span longer distances and withstand higher temperatures with less expansion and contraction.
Why CX?
We saw a need for a truly low maintenance deck product, with all of the benefits of composite decking but none of the drawbacks (drawbacks like significant colour fade, grease staining, and mildew). This product is the only one on the market which solves the three problems composite decking customers complain most about: colour fade, staining, and mould/mildew.
Is CorrectDeck CX maintenance free?
CorrectDeck CX with antimicrobial technology is ultra-low maintenance; resisting the mold and mildew that cause stains and discoloration on wood and other decking. Request a Product Brochure
How long will the antimicrobial product protection last?
Antimicrobial protection is built-in during the manufacturing process and will not wash off or wear away. It is engineered to provide continuous antimicrobial product protection for the useful lifetime of the product.
Why can’t I see a distinct protective layer in CorrectDeck CX?
Rather than being a specific ‘layer’, our patented technology actually brings more of the UV, stain resistance, and mildew-resistance additives to the surface. This is continuously blended into the material. That is why scratching and hardness is not a concern. Several companies that specialize in testing the thickness of co-extrusion layers have not been able to detect a distinct boundary between the wood composite substrate and the cap layer.
Will the surface of CorrectDeck CX peel or wear off?
The surface of CorrectDeck CX will not peel off due to the fact that the surface layer is co-extruded into the wood fibre. Under normal conditions, the surface will last indefinitely. If exposed to high wear or abrasion, some wearing is possible. If any of the substrate becomes exposed, this is no cause for alarm because it contains the same UV stabilizers as the rest of the composition and is not affected.
What kind of warranty does CorrectDeck CX have?

Will CorrectDeck CX rot, splinter, or decay like real wood?
